Style is Genetic - Editor, Colorist

While working on Style Is Genetic, I worked closely with the Creative Director to bring her idea of how “style and community often bleed into each other as we see it being passed down from generation to generation” to life.

As editor and colorist, I wanted to emphasize these ideas through the use of the earth tones being worn by the sibling pairings in contrast to more busy backgrounds. In doing so, I aimed to create a sense of grounding that style has-- that no matter the noise, self-expression can always be a commonplace and touchstone for those part of a community to find one another in.
